Bestselling author Andrew E. Kaufman came to me with distinct ideas for the internal formatting of his latest release and asked me to implement them in both paperback and ebook formatting. As I sit here looking at my signed copy of The Lion, The Lamb, The Hunted, I can tell you that it looks amazing. Was it hard work? Yes! There were many 3:00 a.m. heavy texting nights trying to get this one done in a relatively short amount of time. As with all my projects, I took it on as if it was my own and it paid off with an amazing internal format to go along with a fantastic story that I can highly recommend.

Include black and white images in your book

"Pretty up" your book with distinct images in both paperback and ebooks. Whether you have illustrations or want to use a simple image or design within your books, images help add a special visual element. Black and white images work best in most formats and are usually less costly to include.

Images hand-drawn by the author were used throughout both the paperback and ebook formats in Elizabeth Mueller's YA Paranormal Romance Darkspell.

Keep It Simple...

T. E. MacArthur's The Volcano Lady: A Fearful Storm Gathering didn't call for a lot of images. We used a genre appropriate font coupled with a few elemental designs to provide just the right touch for this original Steampunk Historical Novel.
